Crafting an Integrative Strategy for New Zealand's Wellness Revolution

The context

In 2018 Matt from 5th approached antimony at the end of their 1st five year cycle. The brand and business were already successful and their team was established but they were unsure what to do for the next 5 years. Antimony was tasked with producing their next 5 years strategy which included a 360 review on the existing team and 400+ client survey report. The result was a complete restructure of the team from leadership and an optimised offering for both staff and clients. Antimony was also tasked with producing, recruiting and training 5th Elements new Marketing Manager role.  In 2023, Vanessa is still with 5th Element, five years later.

Antimony has always worked closely with the marketing team to drive and support the growth opportunities within the business. Whether it’s designing executing a reengagement strategy for old clients or managing a six month lead generation campaign for new client memberships. Being health and wellbeing enthusiasts and also members ourselves really helped us to understand the 5th Element community and to comprehend on a deeper level what motivates people to join a truly holistic health and wellbeing team.

E-COMMERCE CHANNEL

During COVID-19, the decision was made by Matt to pivot the teams energy and time into growing their online e-commerce store. Antimony was brought into help with the initial eight months of growth using various channel marketing strategies across Google and social media. The sore consisted mainly of high quality specified health supplements and wellbeing products  important from around the world. The store maintained it’s 30% Month-on-Month growth target to six figures plus in the first twelve months. Eighteen  months after its launch, the 5EW store produces six figures per month. It now consistently outperforms a majority of the other revenue streams for the business. It has been a revelation for the business. This is especially meaningful given their main membership business was unable to operate for nearly two years.

VERTICAL + HORIZONTAL PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Sam, Antimony’s managing director was asked to provide leadership training with the leadership team. Coaching sessions identified that Dave (former 5th Element founder) was ready to transition into creating his own personal brand, Dave O’Brien.  Antimony also supported Dave with formal strategic planning training and public speaking workshops so that he and 5th element could capitalise on the momentum generated around Dave’s new found fandom. In the year we launched the Dave O’Brien brand, Dave went    on to feature in internationally acclaimed health and wellbeing podcast 180 Nutrition with Guy Lawrence, helping A-list actor  Dominic Cooper prepare for his latest Marvel movie, Preacher and facilitating retreats for the Boston Consulting Group.

THE analysis

The bridal industry is intensely competitive. Bridal and luxury fashion brands face a delicate challenge in going digital: maintaining exclusivity while expanding access. Elly’s legacy was built offline, but the next chapter needed scalable, story-rich infrastructure. Her clients aren’t casual browsers they’re women making life-defining decisions. The experience had to meet them with elegance, clarity and confidence at every click. For Elly, growth was coming from three fronts: a surge in made-to-order demand, international stockist interest, and direct customer enquiries. However, the website lacked the functionality and flexibility to meet this scale. Stockist journeys, international clientele, and internal management tools were underdeveloped.

Scaling Without Compromise

The Challenge

Elly was managing international interest, stockist growth, and made-to-order requests across disparate channels manual forms, email chains, and offline processes. Her site didn’t reflect the global brand she’d become. More than a refresh, she needed a total digital transformation to meet demand while preserving the couture feel.

THE WORK

We approached Elly Sofocli’s transformation with both strategy and sensitivity, ensuring that every layer of her digital ecosystem reflected the elegance of her craft while equipping her business for scale. The process began with audience and journey mapping, allowing us to fully understand the emotional, logistical and aspirational touch points of her clients.

We led a complete reimagining of the brand’s digital identity—designing a new visual system, refining her tone of voice, and crafting content to better reflect the couture experience she offers. We designed and built a custom Webflow site with a headless architecture, prioritising performance and editorial polish. We introduced e-commerce for the first time in the brand’s history, carefully balancing accessibility with exclusivity for our veil store front. This included dedicated pathways for made-to-order collections, veil purchases, and stockist engagement. On the backend, we streamlined her workflows with integrated CRM systems, custom booking forms, and scalable infrastructure, ensuring the site not only looked premium but functioned powerfully.

Every decision was made to uphold Elly’s reputation while setting the foundation for international growth, and the result is a digital presence that feels deeply personal, intelligently built, and unmistakably hers.

Elly Sofocli’s digital presence is now truly global, supporting online orders from the US, and Asia while nurturing exclusive partnerships across Australia. The context

In 2018 Matt from 5th approached antimony at the end of their 1st five year cycle. The brand and business were already successful and their team was established but they were unsure what to do for the next 5 years. Antimony was tasked with producing their next 5 years strategy which included a 360 review on the existing team and 400+ client survey report. The result was a complete restructure of the team from leadership and an optimised offering for both staff and clients. Antimony was also tasked with producing, recruiting and training 5th Elements new Marketing Manager role.  In 2023, Vanessa is still with 5th Element, five years later.

Antimony helped 5th Element break into the corporate health & wellbeing industry with product design, SOW & pitch document creation. Supporting the sales and product design and implementation process, end-to-end. Their answer to corporate health and wellbeing - ‘The Ultimate Reboot’ was rolled out through the head offices of KPMG Australia and Telstra to name some highlights. Antimony also helped 5th to pivot their business to online coaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. Creating a customised mobile app future proofed the business offering - enabling coaching to take place outside of the premise and enabled the training, nutrition and coaching programs to remain fully online.

EXPANDING THE NARRATIVE

Antimony has always worked closely with the marketing team to drive and support the growth opportunities within the business. Whether it’s designing executing a reengagement strategy for old clients or managing a six month lead generation campaign for new client memberships. Being health and wellbeing enthusiasts and also members ourselves really helped us to understand the 5th Element community and to comprehend on a deeper level what motivates people to join a truly holistic health and wellbeing team.

SYMBOLISM AND THE ESSENTIALS

During COVID-19, the decision was made by Matt to pivot the teams energy and time into growing their online e-commerce store. Antimony was brought into help with the initial eight months of growth using various channel marketing strategies across Google and social media. The sore consisted mainly of high quality specified health supplements and wellbeing products  important from around the world. The store maintained it’s 30% Month-on-Month growth target to six figures plus in the first twelve months. Eighteen  months after its launch, the 5EW store produces six figures per month. It now consistently outperforms a majority of the other revenue streams for the business. It has been a revelation for the business. This is especially meaningful given their main membership business was unable to operate for nearly two years.

Sam, Antimony’s managing director was asked to provide leadership training with the leadership team. Coaching sessions identified that Dave (former 5th Element founder) was ready to transition into creating his own personal brand, Dave O’Brien.  Antimony also supported Dave with formal strategic planning training and public speaking workshops so that he and 5th element could capitalise on the momentum generated around Dave’s new found fandom. In the year we launched the Dave O’Brien brand, Dave went    on to feature in internationally acclaimed health and wellbeing podcast 180 Nutrition with Guy Lawrence, helping A-list actor  Dominic Cooper prepare for his latest Marvel movie, Preacher and facilitating retreats for the Boston Consulting Group.
